DIY Power Wash Dupe: Non-Toxic & Effective with Just 3 Ingredients!
Let’s talk about a little low-tox cleaning magic! If you've ever used the popular power wash sprays at the store, you know they work — but they’re also packed with ingredients that aren’t exactly friendly to our bodies or the environment.
So today, I’m sharing my favorite DIY Power Wash Dupe — it’s quick to make, budget-friendly, and uses just three simple ingredients you probably already have on hand.
✨ What You’ll Need:
1 part rubbing alcohol (70% or higher)
1 part Thieves dish soap (or your favorite natural dish soap)
1 part water
That's it!
🧴 Why This Works:
Rubbing alcohol cuts through grease and evaporates quickly, which helps your surfaces dry faster without streaks.
Thieves dish soap is plant-based but tough on grime — plus, it smells amazing thanks to its essential oil blend.
Water dilutes the solution so it sprays evenly and doesn’t overwhelm your surfaces.
🧽 How to Use:
Add equal parts rubbing alcohol, dish soap, and water to your spray bottle. Shake gently to combine.
Spray directly onto dishes with stuck-on food, greasy stovetops, sticky countertops, or even cabinet doors.
Let it sit for a few seconds, then wipe with a damp cloth or sponge.
For tough jobs, follow up with a warm rinse or repeat as needed.
💡 Pro Tips:
Use a fine mist spray bottle to evenly distribute the solution.
Want a little extra scrubbing power? Sprinkle some baking soda on top after spraying for a natural scouring boost.
Store in a cool, dark place and shake gently before each use — natural ingredients can separate a bit over time.
This little dupe is one of my go-to kitchen helpers — it’s gentle, effective, and smells like a clean home should. Give it a try and let me know how it works for you! We have also been using it on stains! Works great on sneakers!
